THE BAIDURI MASTERS 2025 – DAY FOUR UPDATES
08 August 2025

It’s musical chairs on the Baiduri Masters 2025 Men’s leaderboard, and with only one day left to make the cut, the curtain is starting to fall on qualifying hopes. The final 12 seats are filling up fast. Familiar names continue to hold their ground, but new contenders are stepping in.

Bryan Chiew’s remarkable round of 66 remains untouched at the top, a score that has held steady since Day One. But the gap is closing. Marcel Leong and AK Md Syakir Pg Hj Alli both came close with matching 69s, narrowing the margin and setting the stage for a thrilling finish. Not far behind are Suhaimi Ibrahim, Mahendra Phagami, and Mitchell Steel, each sitting at 71 and still very much in contention.

Qawi Aslimon posted a solid 72, while Nujaimi Hj Jumat, Khariul Kamis, Julian Kamaluddin, and Kamal Rana are all tied at 73. Khairul Hj Paun holds the provisional final spot in the top 12 with a 74. The cut line is under pressure, and no spot is safe just yet.

In the Ladies’ division, the leaderboard remains unchanged. Defending champion Almas Syadzwanie Kamis continues to lead with a steady 78, while Agnes De La Cruz and Julia Hwong remain tied just behind at 82. With the final weekend ahead, the top three positions are still up for grabs.

As players climb the ranks, the tournament’s deeper goal stands unshaken. One hundred percent of all golfer registration fees go directly to five local charities: the Child Development Centre (CDC), SMARTER Brunei, La Vida, Learning Ladders Society, and the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BNAB). These organisations work across developmental therapy, inclusive education, and assistive technology, providing essential care to those who need it most.

There’s still time to register for the final flights of the Baiduri Masters this weekend. With every golfer who steps onto the course, a little more becomes possible for the five charities. Players can sign up for a flat rate of BND120 for the Men’s, Ladies’, and Senior’s categories, and BND60 for the Junior category. A discounted rate of BND115 is available for online registrations via www.maribali.com.bn.

Alternatively, players may register in person by submitting the completed form and making full payment at the registration counter at PMGC. Registration forms are available online and on-site. To download the form or find out more, visit www.baiduri.com.
