THE BAIDURI MASTERS 2026 – DAY FIVE UPDATES
15 August 2026

The stage is set for the Baiduri Masters 2026 championship round after an eventful fifth day of competition saw the final 12 qualifiers confirmed for Sunday's showdown at Pantai Mentiri Golf Club.

Leading the charge is Ak Mohd Syakir Pg Alli, whose outstanding 64 remains the best score recorded in this year's tournament. The former Baiduri Masters champion heads into the final round with a five-shot advantage and will be looking to add another Green Jacket to his collection.

Closest to him is Mahendra Phagami on 69, followed by Zulhilmi Hj Rosli, Johari Ahmad, and Muhd Irwan Hj Abd Hamid, who are tied on 70. Hj Shahminan Hj Damit sits on 71, while defending champion Lim Beng Keat remains firmly in contention on 72 alongside Ak Muhd Zaidan Pg Hj Ahmad Zaki, Marcel Leong, and Bryan Chiew. The final two qualifying places were secured by Faiz Damit and Muhd Harith Irfan Indera Putera, both on 73.

Sunday's championship round will feature an impressive line-up of proven contenders, including former Green Jacket winners Ak Mohd Syakir Pg Alli, Johari Ahmad, Muhd Irwan Hj Abd Hamid, and defending champion Lim Beng Keat. With the top 12 now confirmed after five days of qualifying, the finalists will return for one last round in pursuit of the coveted Green Jacket and Challenge Trophy, setting the stage for a compelling finish to the Baiduri Masters 2026.

A notable storyline is also unfolding in the Ladies' competition. Almas Syadzwanie Kamis continues to lead the field and is now one day away from a third consecutive Baiduri Masters Ladies' title, having successfully claimed the crown in both 2024 and 2025.

The tournament's hole-in-one prizes remain unclaimed heading into the final day, with golfers still in the running to win a BMW X3 on Hole 13, a Porsche Macan EV on Hole 16, a MINI Cooper on Hole 9, or a BND20,000 cash prize on Hole 7. Several players have come close over the course of the tournament, but perfection has so far proved elusive.

Competition also remains open in the longest drive category. The current benchmark stands at 96 metres to the pin in the Men's category and 148 metres to the pin in the Ladies' category. Introduced for the first time this year, the Ladies' Longest Drive category has added another dimension to the tournament, with both titles still to be decided on Sunday.
