With the Baiduri Masters 2026 entering its decisive stages, Ak Mohd Syakir Pg Alli has emerged as the player to beat after producing the standout round of the tournament so far.

The 2023 Baiduri Masters champion carded a superb 64, vaulting to the top of the leaderboard and opening a five-shot advantage over the field heading into Sunday's championship round. With one round still to play, he will take momentum into the final day as he looks to reclaim the Green Jacket.

Sitting in second place is Mahendra Phagami on 69, whose impressive showing last weekend had earned him the outright lead heading into this weekend of competition. A group of four players are tied on 70, comprising Zul Rosli, Moksin Jinaidi, and former Baiduri Masters champions Johari Ahmad and Muhd Irwan Hj Abd Hamid

Just one stroke further back is Hj Shahminan Hj Damit on 71, while Ak Muhd Zaidan Pg Hj Ahmad Zaki, Julian Kamaluddin, and Bryan Chiew remain within striking distance on 72. Rounding out the top 12 are Muhd Harith Irfan Indera Putera and Zulehram Yakub, both on 73.

With one day of qualifying remaining before Sunday's championship round, the battle for the top 12 is intensifying. On Pantai Mentiri Golf Club’s par-72 layout, golfers currently outside the qualifying positions will likely need to match or better par to improve their standing and challenge for a place in the final round tomorrow.

Adding to the excitement are the tournament's attractive hole-in-one prizes, including a BMW X3 on Hole 13, a Porsche Macan EV on Hole 16, a MINI Cooper on Hole 9, and a BND20,000 cash prize on Hole 7. Despite several close attempts throughout the tournament, the prizes remain unclaimed heading into the final day.

Golfers still have the opportunity to be part of the final day of competition, with registration remaining open at BND120 for the Men's, Ladies', and Senior categories, and BND60 for the Junior category. While the championship round will be contested by the top 12 qualifiers, players signing up for the final day will still have the chance to compete for division titles, as well as the tournament's hole-in-one, nearest-to-pin, and longest drive awards, all of which remain up for grabs.
