Baiduri Bank today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with event collaborators for the Baiduri Masters 2026 at the QAF Auto Showroom, marking the continuation of one of Brunei Darussalam’s longest-running charity golf initiatives.
Now in its 28th edition, the Baiduri Masters has evolved into more than a fixture on the golf calendar. Since its inception in 1995, it has developed into a platform that brings together golfers, businesses, and the wider community to contribute towards a shared purpose. Through this platform, participation in the tournament directly supports local organisations serving children, individuals with different abilities, and vulnerable communities.
This year, proceeds from the tournament will benefit five charitable organisations — La Vida, SMARTER Brunei, Learning Ladders Society, Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, and An-Nur Harapan. In 2025, the tournament attracted more than 800 golfers and raised BND82,000 for charity.
Speaking about the Baiduri Masters, Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, said: “I think what makes the Baiduri Masters special is that it has grown into more than just a golf tournament. Over time, it has become a platform where people can come together for something that really matters beyond the game itself.
At its core, it is about contribution. Whether someone is taking part as a golfer, supporting as a sponsor, or helping behind the scenes, everyone plays a part. And the fact that all registration fees go directly to charity gives the tournament a very direct and meaningful way of supporting organisations that are doing important work in the community.
We have also been fortunate to have strategic event partners like QAF Brunei and Brunei Press alongside us over the decades. Their continued support has really helped sustain the tournament and allowed it to grow in both scale and impact. That collective effort is what keeps the Baiduri Masters meaningful year after year.”
The signing ceremony began with an MoU signing between Baiduri Bank and QAF Auto Sdn Bhd. Signing on behalf of Baiduri Bank were Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, and Pg Azaleen Pg Dato Hj Mustapha, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Group Treasury and Institutional Banking of Baiduri Bank cum President of Baiduri Masters 2026. These include a BMW X3 on Hole 13, a Porsche Macan EV on Hole 16, a MINI Cooper on Hole 9, and a BND20,000 cash prize on Hole 7.
The inclusion of electric vehicles among the prizes also reflects a growing emphasis on sustainability, aligned with Baiduri Bank Group’s broader commitment under the Baiduri Greenprint framework. Through its Planet pillar, the Group continues to encourage more sustainable choices, including the adoption of cleaner mobility solutions, while complementing the tournament’s longstanding focus on community support through charitable giving.
Registration for the Baiduri Masters will commence on 29 June 2026, offering a flat rate of BND120 for Men’s, Ladies’, and Senior categories, and BND60 for the Junior category.
