When will passbook services be discontinued, and what happens to related fees?
Passbook services will be discontinued on 12 October 2026.
From that date:- Passbooks can no longer be used or updated.
- All passbook-related fees, including the quarterly passbook service fee, will no longer apply.

Why are passbook services being discontinued?
This change forms part of our sustainability and digital banking initiatives, which aim to reduce paper usage and provide customers with more efficient, secure and convenient ways to access their account information.

Can I still use my existing passbook after 12 October 2026, and how can I access my account information?
No. From 12 October 2026, passbooks will no longer be updated. You may continue to access your account information through the following channels:
- Baiduri b.Digital Personal (web and mobile app) – View account balances and transaction history (up to 6 months). See guide here.
- eStatements (via email) – Monthly statements sent at no charge to customers with a valid email address registered with the Bank.
- ATMs – View account balances and obtain mini statements using your Baiduri Debit Card.
- Opt in for Physical statements– Available upon request at any Baiduri Bank branch.
To assist customers during the transition period, the opt-in fee for physical statements on Passbook Savings Account will be waived from 12 October 2026 to 31 December 2026. Thereafter, a BND5 per month will be incurred in accordance with the Bank's General Tariffs.
To ensure uninterrupted access to your account information, please ensure that your contact details, including your mobile number and email address, are up to date with the Bank. -

Can I continue to keep my existing passbook?
Yes. You may continue to keep your existing passbook for your records. However, from 12 October 2026, passbooks can no longer be used or updated.

What are the fees if I wish to receive physical statements?
Customers may request to opt in to receive physical statements on a monthly basis at any Baiduri Bank Branch. Physical statements will continue to be sent monthly unless you choose an alternative statement delivery method or close your account.A fee of BND5 per month will apply in accordance with Baiduri Bank's General Tariffs.
However, to support customers during the transition period, this fee will be waived from 12 October 2026 to 31 December 2026. The fee will apply from 1 January 2027. -
Will my past transaction history be lost after passbook services are discontinued?
No. The discontinuation of passbook services will not affect your account transaction history.Past transaction records will continue to be available through the Bank’s existing channels, subject to the applicable viewing periods for each channel.

What if I do not have access to digital banking or a debit card?
If you are not registered for Baiduri b.Digital Personal or do not have a Baiduri Debit Card, please visit your nearest Baiduri Bank branch.
Our staff will be happy to assist you in accessing your account information through the available channels after passbook services are discontinued. -
I find it difficult to access my eStatements. What can I do?
We understand that some customers may require assistance accessing their eStatements.
Our branch staff are available to help you:- Update your contact details, including your email address
- Set up and access Baiduri b.Digital Personal
- Access and retrieve your eStatements
- Answer any questions you may have
If you do not use Baiduri b.Digital Personal or do not have access to an email address, please visit any Baiduri Bank branch to discuss the options available for receiving your account statements. -
