Save on your foreign currency remittances

Whether you’re sending money to your child studying abroad or transferring funds to your international suppliers, from now until 1 August 2024, enjoy zero commission-in-lieu of exchange when you remit in the same currency as your foreign currency current or savings account.


From 5 February to 1 August 2024, enjoy zero commission-in-lieu of exchange charges* when you perform same-currency remittances from your foreign currency accounts.


*Commission-in-lieu of exchange is applicable where foreign currency remittances are settled without foreign currency conversion.
This promotion is not applicable for remittances made via SGD current and savings account.


  • Terms & Conditions
    Save on your foreign currency remittances (“this Promotion”) Terms and Conditions:

    1. Term

    1.1 This Promotion is valid from 5 February 2024 to 1 August 2024 (both dates inclusive), or such other date(s) as may be determined by Baiduri Bank Sendirian Berhad (the “Bank”) at its discretion (the “Promotion Period”).

    2. Eligibility

    2.1 This Promotion is open to all new and existing customers of the Bank who meet the following eligibility criteria ("Eligible Customers"):

    1. Holds an active savings and/or current account in a foreign currency, excluding SGD (“Eligible Account”); and
    2. Performs an outward remittance from the Eligible Account and/or receives an inward remittance to the Eligible Account, in the same currency as the Eligible Account, via branch counters and/or Baiduri b.Digital platforms during the Promotion Period.
     
    2.2 Staff members of the Bank, Baiduri Finance Berhad and Baiduri Capital Sendirian Berhad are eligible to participate in this Promotion.

    3. Promotion
     
    3.1 Eligible Customers are entitled to a waiver on the commission in lieu of exchange as follows :


    Transaction Amount

    Waived Amount

    Up to BND100,000 in equivalent

    1/10% of transaction amount or a minimum of BND10 in equivalent

    Over BND100,000 in equivalent

    1/32% of transaction amount or a minimum of BND100 in equivalent



    3.2 Upon the conclusion of the Promotion Period , the commission in lieu of exchange will be charged as per the Bank's General Tariff published on the Bank's website at www.baiduri.com.

    3.3 Other standard fees and charges as stipulated in the Bank's General Tariff are still applicable.

    4. General

    4.1 By participating in this Promotion, you are deemed to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms”).

    4.2 This Promotion is governed by and subject to the Bank’s terms and conditions on the related products and any other documents forming the banking agreement.

    4.3 The Bank may, at any time and without prior notice or liability to any party, suspend or terminate this Promotion or vary any of the Terms of this Promotion.

    4.4 The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Promotion. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.

    4.5 The Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brunei Darussalam.

Important update
19 September 2023

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
