BAIDURI BANK OFFERS COVID-19 FINANCIAL RELIEF MEASURES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES

In line with guidelines from Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), Baiduri Bank continues to provide relief measures for individuals and business that are financially impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

To adhere to the guidelines introduced by the Ministry of Health in efforts to combat the community spread of COVID-19, we have implemented digital and contactless application channels for these relief measures.

Assistance for Individuals

The Bank offers principal repayment deferment where impacted individuals may apply to defer their principal payments for Personal Loan, Home Loan and Property Loan until 31 December 2021. They will continue to service their interest during the deferment period. Additionally, all related processing fees (excluding third-party fees) will be waived, and all applications are subject to the Bank’s assessment.

Impacted individuals may also apply to restructure their existing personal loan(s) for an extended tenor of up to 10 years. Similarly, all related processing fees (excluding third-party fees) will be waived, and all applications are subject to the Bank’s assessment.

The Bank also offers Credit Card Instalment Loan where impacted individuals may apply to convert their credit card outstanding balance of BND500 and above into an instalment loan with a maximum tenor of up to 3 years.

To apply for relief assistance, eligible individuals may submit their applications via email to [email protected] with all supporting documents. Alternatively, customers can also drop-off the completed documents using the drop box at Baiduri Bank Main Branch or Seria Branch during banking hours.

Assistance for Businesses

For businesses, the Bank continues to support companies that are financially impacted by COVID-19 by offering temporary principal deferment for their existing facilities until 31 December 2021, with the interest portion continued to be serviced as normal.

For deferment of loan or other credit facilities for Business Banking customers, applications can be submitted via email to [email protected] with complete documents. Alternatively, they can use the drop box at Baiduri Bank Main Branch or Seria Branch during banking hours.

For deferment of loan or other credit facilities for Corporate Banking customers, eligible companies can directly contact their Account Relationship Officer or Manager or call 226 8328 (Baiduri Bank Main Branch) for assistance. Applications can be submitted using the drop box at Baiduri Bank Main Branch or Seria Branch during banking hours.

To facilitate online payments during the pandemic, free online fund transfers between local banks i.e. ACH and RTGS, is extended until 31 December 2021. Fee for setting up standing instructions for online local bank transfers will also be waived.

Important update
19 September 2023

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
