  • What are the changes in fees for issuance of cheque book?

    Effective 1 September 2024, the revised issuance of cheque fees are as follows:


    Personal Accounts

    BND25 per cheque book (50 leaves) and BND5 stamp duty

    Business Accounts

    BND50 per cheque book (50 leaves) and BND5 stamp duty

  • Why are the fees for cheque book issuance increased?
    The fee increase is in line with our move towards digitalisation with the aim of promoting more efficient and environmentally friendly banking practices. We strongly encourage you to use our digital platforms, Baiduri b.Digital Personal and Business for bill payments and transfers.
     
    Additionally, the reduced Automated Clearing House (ACH) Direct Credit transfer fee of BND0.50 per transaction, effective 1 January 2024, makes online fund transfers a more cost-effective and convenient option for customers compared to cheque-based transactions.
  • What alternatives are there if I prefer not to use cheques?

    For personal accounts, the Baiduri b.Digital Personal platform, available on both web and mobile app, offers a range of convenient features. It allows you to pay bills such as school fees, utilities, hire purchase, insurance, and more. Additionally, you can transfer funds directly to another account within Baiduri Bank, to other local banks, and even internationally.

    For business accounts, the Baiduri b.Digital Business platform, accessible on both web and mobile app, provides efficient management of business transactions. This platform enables you to pay various bills, transfer funds within Baiduri Bank, to other local banks, and internationally, make bulk and salary payments, and submit Trade Services requests.

    Additionally, you can use debit and credit cards to make payments, providing a quick and secure alternative to cheques. You may want to find out a bit more about the benefits of using card payments for personal payments and for business-related payments.
  • Will there be a limit on the number of cheque books that can be requested?

    Yes, we have imposed the following limits to manage distribution of our cheques more efficiently. These limits will be effective until 31 August 2024.

    5 cheque books per account

    Business Accounts

    10 cheque books per account

19 September 2023

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
