The country’s leading automobile finance company, Baiduri Finance was first established in 1996 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Baiduri Bank.

From a small organisation with only nine employees, Baiduri Finance has grown tenfold, with a workforce of over a hundred employees, majority of whom are Bruneians.

Wide Choice of Financial Products

While Baiduri Finance’s main activity is motor vehicle hire purchase financing, it also offers commercial fleet financing, motorcycle financing and luxury watercraft financing. Additionally, Baiduri Finance offers high-yielding savings products such as Multi-Tier Savings Account (MTSA), Multi-Rate Savings Account (MRSA) and Fixed Deposit.

Value-added Services

Baiduri Finance also offers exclusive value-added services for its hire purchase customers.

The Baiduri Finance Auto Direct Card, which is issued exclusively to its hire purchase customers, provides easy instalment payments via Baiduri’s digital channels as well as discounts at a range of participating merchants.

HP Care is an all-in-one package plan with benefits such as motor insurance and road tax renewal assistance, automated renewal option and insurance instalment plan. 

Baiduri Finance has also implemented contactless services, providing customers with a convenient way to conduct remote transactions through calling into the Baiduri Finance Helpdesk, its dedicated customer support line, and WhatsApp hotlines. 

Multiple Service Delivery Channels

Baiduri Finance has two branches located in the Brunei-Muara and Belait districts. In addition, Baiduri Finance customers can also avail of counter services at all Baiduri Bank branches as well as via 24/7 digital banking via Baiduri b.Digital Personal.

Customers also have access to HP Online, Brunei’s first digital hire purchase financing platform that enables fast loan approvals. Customers may also use the Baiduri Finance Mobile App for a myriad of facilities. They can pay their hire purchase monthly repayments securely, gain access to HP Online, get quotes for motor insurance and road tax renewal assistance and much more.

International Operating Standards

Baiduri Finance first acquired the ISO9001:2000 Quality Management Systems certification in 2003 and remains the only finance company in Brunei to have achieved full end-to-end compliance to ISO standards covering all functions and processes. It underwent an ISO recertification audit in late 2018 and was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 (latest edition) certification in Quality Management System in early 2019.

Market Leadership

Baiduri Finance achieved an Operating Profit of BND 30 million in 2021. The company remains at the top of the automobile finance industry with a 65% share in the market, based on financing of new vehicles.

Important update
19 September 2023

We would like to inform you that with effect from 31 October 2023, Business i-Banking service will no longer be operational, and this will be replaced with our new Baiduri b.Digital Business service.

If your company has not transitioned to b.Digital Business, please ensure that every existing user provides the following by 8 October 2023 through the Business i-Banking Inbox:
  • User’s full name
  • User’s valid Identification Card (IC) or Passport
  • User’s mobile number
  • User's company assigned email address (General company email is not accepted e.g., [email protected])

Alternatively, you can complete the b.Digital Business Amendment Form and submit the form(s) directly to Baiduri Digital Hub, Ground Level, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Every user will receive a notification email at their registered email address, once they have been migrated and activated on the b.Digital Business service.

Companies who have not moved to b.Digital Business after 31 October 2023 can re-apply as a new subscriber to the b.Digital Business service. This will require additional documentations to be submitted as part of the application. Refer “Required Documents” here.

Important notice: Our Business i-Banking service will be deactivated soon. To ensure continued access and a smooth transition to the new Baiduri b.Digital Business, please provide your full name, IC, email address and mobile number via Business i-Banking Inbox. If we do not receive updated details from all authorised users, your company will not be migrated to the new platform and a fresh application will be required. To strengthen our online security measures, effective 8 January 2024, we will introduce the cooling period feature on our Baiduri b.Digital Personal web and mobile app to prevent unauthorised access.
