IMPORTANT ACTION REQUIRED FOR SELECTED MASTERCARD CASHCARD CARHOLDERS

In order to comply with regulatory requirements, we require some Mastercard CashCard Cardholders to provide us with updated account details. If you currently hold a Baiduri Mastercard CashCard and do not maintain a Savings or Current Account with Baiduri Bank, please take note of the following.

What You Need to Do

  • If you currently have a Savings or Current Account with Baiduri Bank, please call our Customer Helpline at +673 2449666 and Press 1 for Call Centre to provide us with your Account Number
  • If you do not have any Savings or Current Account with Baiduri Bank, you will need to:
    1. Download and fill in the Customer Information Form (CIF); and
    2. Bring your duly completed form to any Baiduri Bank branch together with your original Brunei Identity Card (IC) OR Passport with proof of address (e.g. utility bill, phone bill)

If you are currently not residing in Brunei, you will need to:

  1. Download and fill in the Customer Information Form (CIF);
  2. Email scanned copies of the required documents (as mentioned above) to bank@baiduri.com; and
  3. Send the original completed CIF Form with verified copies of the identity documents by post to the address stated below.

Please note that all documents must be verified by a Notary Public in order to be valid for this purpose.

Updating your account details is a mandatory requirement. If we do not receive the required documents by 25 September 2018, we will have to deactivate your Mastercard CashCard. You will not be able to use the Card to perform any cash withdrawal or online and offline purchases.

Kindly note that transactions of more than BND50,000 will automatically be transferred via RTGS.

Suspicious Calls

Members of the public have alerted Baiduri Bank that they received suspicious calls from an automated machine claiming to be from Baiduri Bank, informing them of an outstanding amount to settle and to press "9" for more information or to speak to a Baiduri Bank officer/representative.

Baiduri Bank Group wishes to advise the public that we would not make such calls to ask for your personal information.

We would like to remind the public who receive such calls or email requesting personal information or money:

  1. To be vigilant. Baiduri Bank will not ask you to make a payment through a phone call, especially to a third-party Bank account. In such situations, you should ignore the call and contact your bank.
  2. Not to transfer any money to the caller, either via bank transfers, remittance agencies or any other means.
  3. Not to provide personal information such as your name, I/C or passport number, bank account details or debit/credit card details.

We at Baiduri Bank Group take security and customer data protection very seriously. If you have any information related to such incidents, or were affected by such incidents, please call our 24-hour Call Centre at 2449666 immediately to report the matter.

Effective Monday, 20 March 2017, the withdrawal fees per transaction for SGD at the Brunei International Airport ATM are:

As part of our commitment to keeping customer account and personal information safe and secure, we would like to remind customers to be always aware of online security.

It is important that you do not provide your account or credit card information or disclose any confidential information in any of your emails.

Always ensure that you only log on to Baiduri Internet Banking by manually typing www.baiduri.com and not by following links to the website.

Baiduri Bank has a policy to never contact customers by email or other means and ask for your User ID, password or account information.

What you should do if you are suspicious
Notify the Bank immediately on +673 2449666 (office hours) or +673 2425644 (after office) of suspicious phone inquiries or emails such as those asking you to verify personal account information.
